The butterfly is doing what it is supposed to. Very impressive!
Dave Bonta: Thanks. Yeah, this plant is even better at attracting butterflies than butterfly bush (which I also have). It's in the milkweed (Asclepias) genus. Some nurseries here have begun selling it as "butterfly plant," "weed" being a bad word, I guess.
I'm grateful for the flood of traffic in recent days, but folks, look around: there are WAY better photographers than me on Shutterchance!

This is a beautiful shot. We only seem to get tiny blue butterflies in our garden. Lovely as they are these are truly magnificent!

Okay, not a fan of butterflies (long story) but this shot is amazing...the composition is perfect and the colours. Wow.
