Beautiful light; it reminds me of the eggshell-on-leaves photo on your blog. I'm in two minds about the green leaves — from one perspective they're a distraction; from another they add a fascinating contrast, create a strong diagonal, and move it away from being merely a lovely photo.
Dave Bonta: You're right - I'm of two minds about them too. But it was one of those situations where the other stuff in the vicinity pretty much dictated this arrangement, ad while I could've cropped, in the end I felt that the strangeness of the saprophytes was best brought out by contrast with a normal plant.
